General Information

The Radiation Control Program staff can provide general information about radiation issues where the Health Division does not regulate the radiation source or does not have a clearly defined program established for those issues. These non-regulatory issues include consumer products involving sources of radiation such as microwave ovens, smoke detectors, etc. Staff can also address radiation environmental concerns or provide referrals on radiation issues that are addressed by other agencies such as federal agencies, other state agencies or county/local organizations in the state of Nevada.

If you want more information on this topic, click here: Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD)

Inquiries about Yucca Mountain should be forwarded to the Nevada Nuclear Waste Project Office (NWPO).
