Agencies Providing Fingerprint Services

The following agencies provide livescan electronic fingerprinting services for civil applicants subject to NRS 449, for employment in long term care facilities. Unless otherwise indicated, these agencies will also fingerprint civil applicants for other types of employment.

For civil applicants being fingerprinted under NRS 449, the employer pays the background check fee charged by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) for the criminal history background check. That fee consists of $21.00 for the state check and $19.25 or $30.25 for the FBI check. The lower fee applies to fingerprints submitted electronically and the higher fee to fingerprints submitted on cards. For all other applicants, check with your employer to see if you must pay that fee. In addition, all agencies listed below charge a fee for providing fingerprinting service. All employers subject to NRS 449.176 and 449.179 must have a copy of each employee’s fingerprints in their personnel files; so if the fingerprints are submitted electronically to DPS, each employee must also obtain a printed card for the employer’s file. The employer should keep that copy along with the receipt indicating that the fingerprints were submitted electronically.

Agencies indicating Mobile Service will come to your site to fingerprint applicants.

Unless otherwise indicated, all agencies are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
