Cancer Control Program |
The
State of Nevada’s Comprehensive
Cancer Control Program works towards
bringing together communities and
partner organizations who strive to
reduce the burden of cancer in
Nevada by combining efforts to:
-
Reduce cancer risk
-
Find cancers earlier
-
Improve treatments
-
Increase the number of people
who survive cancer
This
program is funded through the
Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention, National Comprehensive
Cancer Control Program which assists
Nevada in supporting the Nevada
Cancer Coalition to fight cancer in
our state.
The
dedicated and passionate members of
the Nevada Cancer Coalition
represent individuals and
organizations from across our state
working together to fight this
devastating disease.
The
major goals of the Nevada Cancer
Coalition include:

Encouraging people to live a
healthy lifestyle

Promoting cancer screening tests
-
Increasing access to
appropriated cancer treatment
and care

Improving the quality of life
for people who survive cancer
