PERCOLATION TEST PROCEDURES
(NAC 444.796.1 and 444.796.2 inclusive)
Site Preparation:
- Determine site of proposed leach field.
- A test trench is dug to a minimum depth of 4' 0" below the depth of the proposed soil absorption system.
- Soil layers (horizons) are documented as a soil "stratigraphy" to a depth 4' 0" below the depth of the proposed soil absorption system.
- A minimum of two holes for percolation tests are prepared at the depth of the sidewalls of the proposed soil absorption system.
- Water used for percolation test is clear, clean water.
